(please note when I say 'I am' I am not referrign to myself. This is a riddle/poem.)
I am, I am
I am shepherd of the flock,
I am commander of the seraphs,
I am gatekeeper of the heavens,
I am Emmanuel.
I am Jerusalem's protector,
I am Israel's salvation,
I am King of Jews and King of Kings,
I am Yahweh.
I am the I am,
I am the one from which all life flows,
I am your greatest ally against your foes,
I am your lantern against the darkness,
I am your heart at rebirth,
I am Jesus.
I am the one who sits on the throne,
I am the one whose love will never end,
I am the one from which you are saved,
I am the only thing between you and Lucipher,
I am the I am who will be the I am for eternity abounding,
I am your God.
I am not the Allah,
I do not ask blood and war from my followers.
I am not the Buddha.
I do not ask for praise to statues.
I am not the Hindu Supreme God,
there are no others before me.
I am no longer the Jewish god,
I no longer demand the Laws of Old be followed.
I am the keeper of this place you call home,
I am the guardian of the place of which you roam,
I am the row of thorny hedges around you each day,
and all I ask for devotion and you to pray.
Who will you follow? A statue of a man? A god among many? A natural consequence? A blood thirsty God who seeks only death of those who oppose him? Or the I am, for I am the only true God, I am the only savior, I am your only way to heaven.
Wide is the gate, narrow is the way - which way do you choose?
(Yes.. I made the above up - dont laugh too hard) |
